- Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure for the Canadian Operations
- Coordinate, analyze and report the financial performance to Management and Board of Directors (financial performance, projections and other special projects as required)
- Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties
- Collaborate with audit and tax functions on activities to review overall financial performance of the Company
- Develop, implement and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of activities including financial accounting and reporting
- Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent IFRS, GAAP, SEC rules and regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
- Selects, coaches and develops high performing teams in all areas of customer billing, cash applications and collections. Establishes measurable goals and performs continual measurement, coaching and counseling to team members
- Remain current on operational trends, technological developments and regulatory changes
- Hires, trains, develops, monitors, and evaluates performance of staff. Reviews and recommends personnel actions for approval
- Undergraduate Degree in accounting, finance or economics, MBA, preferred
- 10+ years of related experience in a corporate environment; industrial manufacturing, preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), preferred
- Minimum 5 years prior management experience with a proven ability to lead teams and effectively work through others, required
- Strong analytical, financial and systems skills, required
- Experience working in global business environment, preferred
- Experience supporting acquisitions and joint ventures
- Excellent communication and leadership skills are mandatory
