use in production or inventory.Key Responsibilities
- Incoming Quality Inspection: Inspect incoming electrical and electronic components (e.g., sensors, motors, wiring, connectors, PCBs) for conformance to drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Visual & Functional Testing: Perform visual inspections and use electrical testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, continuity testers) to verify functional performance.
- Specification Verification: Check part dimensions, labels, certifications, and datasheets against purchase specifications and engineering drawings.
- Non-Conformance Management: Identify and document non-conforming materials; create NCRs (Non Conformance Reports) and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams for resolution.
- Documentation & Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and component traceability in the ERP or quality management system.
- Calibration & Equipment Care: Ensure inspection tools and test equipment are properly calibrated and maintained.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend improvements to inspection processes and participate in root cause analysis or corrective action efforts when needed.
- Cross-functional Support: Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, and Quality teams to resolve technical or supplier-related issues.
- Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Electrical Engineering Technology,
- Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related field. (Alternatively, candidates with a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Electronics or Industrial Electrical Technology, with relevant experience, will also be considered.
- 2+ years of experience in quality inspection or testing of electrical/electroniccomponents.
- Proficiency in using measurement and diagnostic tools such as multimeters, power supplies, and test jigs.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, datasheets, and technicalspecifications.
- Familiarity with IPC standards or CSA/UL certification practices is an asset.
- Experience working with ERP systems or quality inspection software.
- Good communication and documentation skills in English (French is an asset).
