Their professional team is dedicated to maintaining high standards of service for both internal employees and the organizations they support.They are currently seeking a driven, reliable, and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator (Part-time) to join their team of professionals. In this role, you will play a key part in managing payroll operations with accuracy, professionalism, and a strong focus on client satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Payroll Administrator, you will ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payroll processing for employees while maintaining the integrity of payroll operations.
- Accurately process payroll for internal employees and client organizations on a bi-weekly or monthly basis, including regular pay, overtime, bonuses, and other special payments.
- Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with federal, provincial, and local employment and tax legislation.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports, tax remittances, and statutory filings on time, fully respecting all legal obligations.
- Serve as the primary contact for payroll-related inquiries from employees and clients, addressing questions professionally and confidentially.
- Reconcile payroll accounts, perform quality checks, and collaborate with HR and finance to resolve discrepancies.
- Support internal and external audits, providing accurate documentation and responding efficiently to requests.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, streamline workflows, and implement best practices.
- Maintain and troubleshoot payroll software and systems, ensuring smooth operation and data integrity.
- Post-secondary education in Payroll Administration, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of payroll administration experience.
- Proficiency with payroll software such as ADP, Ceridian Dayforce, or similar platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Solid understanding of Canadian federal and provincial employment and payroll legislation.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to payroll accuracy.
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain payroll information to employees and clients.
- Organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented with the ability to identify process improvements.
