- Responsible for guiding and managing a team of sales representatives to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets
- Strategic leadership: Define and execute the segment's commercial strategy in alignment with the business unit goals, and aim to exceed sales targets.
- Team empowerment: Coach and develop regional sales managers to think and act like business owners.
- Performance management: Monitor KPIs, pipeline health, and forecast accuracy to ensure sustainable growth.
- Market intelligence: Stay ahead of trends and competitors for proactive decision-making.
- Cross-functional alignment: Partner with product, marketing, and operations to deliver segment-specific value.
- Cultural ambassador: Foster a culture of integrity, trust, agility, and boldness within the team.
- Customer focus: Ensure the segment delivers exceptional customer experiences and solutions.
- Oversee the (Oil & Gas / Crane & Industrial / Mining) market development and ensure sales growth targets are achieved.
- Manage day-to-day operations, including KPI and target setting, regular performance reviews and coaching of the commercial team consisting of Outside Sales and Customer Service
- Manage a mix of mature and growing markets to ensure targets are met and new markets are opened for participation.
- Engage in coaching the commercial team for success, complete target setting and performance review and consider where consequence management will be required
- Identify new leads/ projects within the North American market and capitalize on these opportunities
- Serve as liaison between sales management, plants, logistics, etc.
- Escalate and resolve issues between departments; continually working towards improvement.
- Review customer claims, and ensure all are resolved to customer satisfaction, including corrective actions to prevent from happening again.
- Reporting Duties: Regular information flow with Sales Director for agile strategy execution.
- Monitor highlights, lowlights, open orders, deliveries and margins.
- Comfortable working with all levels within the organization.
- Ability to diffuse and escalate issues within the team or within the larger company.
- Collaborate with global teams on strategic actions for the segment, including new product developments, marketing digitalization plans and market intelligence exchange.
- Identify and implement strategies to improve quality of service, productivity and profitability, go-to market ventures, marketing, innovative products and new markets.
- Support and manage Intracompany projects/initiatives.
- Work closely with the Planning, Logistics, Sales Team, Credit, and Shipping Departments to ensure a high service level, on-time delivery to customers, on-time payments and adequate inventory levels.
- Compile and plan X+1 and X+5 for the Segment
- Perform and coordinate market assessments to identify current market size and share of each sub-market
- Set and monitor competitive pricing and terms for each sub-market, including pricing structure in line with customer segmentation
- Ensure long-term success for Bekaert through strategic partnerships and agreements
- Defend and increase profitability while controlling working capital for the business.
- Monitor and improve existing stocking programs (Consignment)

- 4-year college degree preferred; or 10 or more years of relevant experience.
- MBA preferred
- Previous management or supervisorial skills
- Minimum 5 years of sales management experience
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft suite skills: Power BI, Power Point, Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word
- Self-driven and determined, capable of establishing short, mid and long term plans for the business.

- SAP knowledge is preferred
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
- Minimum 5-7 years of proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar role, preferably in the industrial or manufacturing sector
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
