The Wilders is a Toronto and Los Angeles-based company that writes, arranges and produces music for film, television series, interactive and online content (including podcasts and web series.) In addition to this area of expertise, we have created divisions to meet the challenges of Music Supervision, Music Editing and Audio Production. The Wilder Kids is a division devoted to the writing, arranging and production of score and songs for Children’s TV Series, Film and Web Productions.Position title: BookkeeperReporting to: Department HeadsNumber of vacancies: 1Type of employment: Full-timeHours of work: 40 hours per week, Monday to FridayKey Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate books across multiple corporate entities in Canada and the US in QuickBooks Online
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, including CAD, USD and multi-currency transactions
  • Reconcile Canadian and US bank accounts, credit cards, and payroll clearing accounts on a monthly basis
  • Monitor and reconcile payroll activity processed through a managed Workforce Management System; ensure payroll entries are accurately reflected in the books
  • Manage HST filings and remittances with CRA; support US sales tax and compliance obligations as applicable
  • Prepare monthly financial summaries and reports for department heads
  • Support year-end close and liaise with external accountants or auditors
  • Assist with budget tracking, project cost allocations, and revenue reconciliation
  • Maintain organized records for contracts, invoices, and financial correspondence
