Boutique Catering Company – Toronto, ON (On-Site)We are a boutique, high-end catering company serving discerning clients across Toronto, known for our attention to detail, consistency, and elevated execution. Behind every successful event is a well-run operation, and we are seeking a part-time Accountant / Bookkeeper who takes pride in maintaining that level of precision and organization.This is an on-site position for 1–2 days per week and is best suited for an experienced and self-directed professional who values structure, accuracy, and accountability. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the company, ensuring that all records are maintained accurately and that reporting is clear, timely, and reliable.In this role, you will manage full-cycle bookkeeping through QuickBooks, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and government remittances such as HST filings. You will be responsible for reconciling bank and credit card statements, maintaining the general ledger, and tracking job costing across multiple events. A key part of your contribution will be preparing monthly financial reports that provide management with a clear and accurate view of performance.Beyond core bookkeeping responsibilities, you will help maintain internal financial organization, manage petty cash, and support leadership with ongoing financial oversight as needed. This role requires someone who is not only technically capable but also highly dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision.The ideal candidate has a background in accounting, finance, or business administration, along with at least 2–3 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience. A strong understanding of accounting principles is essential, as is proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. Comfort working within a Mac OS environment is important, along with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage time effectively.We are looking for someone who brings a professional and discreet approach to their work, communicates clearly, and takes ownership of their responsibilities.
