Job Description:We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our client's team in Toronto, Ontario. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.   • Manage the day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including tracking income and expenses.
  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.
  • Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions promptly and efficiently.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.
  • Handle payroll processing and ensure timely distribution of employee payments.
  • Prepare and assist with month-end closing procedures.
  • Maintain financial records using QuickBooks and other accounting software.
  • Generate detailed financial reports for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and relevant regulations.
  • Support data entry tasks to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial information.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role.
  • Proficiency in account reconciliation, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR).
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing and bank reconciliation.
  • Expertise in using QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
