Job SummaryRobotics and Controls SpecialistRadian RoboticsFull-timeIn-Office | Hamilton, ON, CanadaReporting to the Controls Manager, the Robotics & Controls Specialist will support projects and field services activities including programming and documentation.Duties & ResponsibilitiesOffline programming of robotic systems comprising of the following elements:PLC (Siemens, Allen Bradley, & Beckhoff)Robot (ABB)HMI (Siemens & Allen Bradley)Vision (IFM & Keyence)Device configuration and networking (Ethernet/IP & Profinet)On site shop testing of robotic systemsTroubleshooting of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systemsOff site commissioning of robotic systemsService and post-commissioning supportDocumentation for user manuals, process diagrams, and training programsCoordinate with colleagues, including project management, to achieve project deadlinesTravel within North America is requiredQualifications & ExperienceCollege or university degree or diploma in electrical engineering, automation & robotics or similarMinimum 3 years of Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio5000, Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 programming experienceMinimum 3 years of ABB Robotstudio programming experienceTyping skills, Microsoft Office and some knowledge of MRP Systems necessaryStrong communication skillsWorking DetailsThe job requires some travel comprising 25-50% of your time.
