be, Deloitte is The One Firm for you to learn, grow, create, connect, and lead.--What will your typical day look like?As a Analyst or Consultant in the Insurance Solutions group within our Technology & Transformation Practice, you will work alongside clients and Deloitte teams to advise, implement, and operate technology-enabled services that drive modernization across the insurance industry.
- Support delivery of client projects by helping implement technology solutions that improve service delivery and customer experience.
- Work with clients and project teams to gather requirements, analyze data, and contribute to solution design.
- Assist with requirements gathering workshops, documentation, and project coordination.
- Help prepare proposals, presentations, and reports for clients and internal teams.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share insights and best practices while developing your own skills.
- Stay current on evolving insurance industry trends and enabling technologies (e.g., Guidewire) to support solution design and delivery.
- You self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, Métis) in Canada
- Experience working with First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples (and communities and expertise in issues faced by Indigenous peoples and communities in Canada)
- Proficiency in an Indigenous language is a valuable asset. Your language skills can foster connections and enhance understanding within our diverse team, contributing to our commitment to reconciliation and inclusivity.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant consulting or industry experience
- At least 1 year of experience in managing a Business Integration effort and project team through multiple phases of the project lifecycle from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing
- Experience in custom software development projects
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: requirements gathering (functional and/or technical), Quality Assurance / testing of functionality, development and solution architecture
- Knowledge of the Canadian insurance landscape across property and casualty insurance, workers’ compensation, and life and health (preferred, but not mandatory)
- Strong desire to learn in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the end-to-end delivery of implementation programs
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Guidewire Integration or Configuration certification preferred
- Hands-on technical expertise in integrating with multiple complex applications, including, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, microservices architectures, and third-party systems via REST or SOAP APIs.
- Strong expertise in both relational and non-relational databases, including MySQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, and related technologies.
- Experience delivering projects via an Agile/Scrum methodology and working knowledge of the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Experience working with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Trello, etc.
- A strong Java, Javascript, Gosu, Python background
- Strong knowledge and comprehension of standards, specifications, standards bodies (e.g., XML, JSON, microservices, etc.)
- Strong software development methodology understanding, and have assisted in the design, development, or testing of a technology integration project
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
- Strong communication skills with both internal and client teams
