Remote Flexibility: In OfficeA leading law firm in downtown Toronto is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Law Clerk to join their legal team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated transactions in real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and land development. You’ll play a key role in managing files from start to finish and supporting lawyers in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:Prepare documentation for commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and financing
- Assist with registering plans of subdivision and related documents (e.g., discharges, postponements)
- Conduct and review title and off-title searches
- Prepare detailed title memoranda and title opinions
- Draft and respond to title requisition letters
- Order and negotiate owner and lender title insurance policies
- Assist with closings and prepare closing books and reporting letters
- Support other land development matters as required
- Proficiency with real estate law tools and software, including Teraview
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple transactions
- Client-focused, detail-oriented, and a strong team player
- Capable of handling the administrative and procedural needs of a busy real estate practice
