- Provide ongoing coaching to develop your team.
- Address any performance or conduct issues as they arise in a timely and respectful manner.
- Co-ordinate and allocate work as required to meet drilling plans and run rates in the most cost effective/efficient way while meeting safety compliance requirements, including the co-ordination of relief team members as required.
- Complete and approve daily rig reports to send to contracts administrators for payroll and client invoicing requirements.
- Provide technical advice to staff to effectively manage rig operations.
- Conduct daily shift meetings.
- Liaise with the Project Leader regarding the progress of the drilling program.
- Safety leadership and assisting team members with the development of thorough risk assessments and job safety analysis.
- Report all safety hazards or workplace injury/illness to the client and management immediately.
- Lead investigations of all incidents / hazard management issues that occur in the work area and on shift and ensure effective corrective actions are identified, implemented and monitored in a timely and productive manner.
- Extensive Sonic drilling experience at a Supervisory level.
- Proven leadership ability.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Good communication skills - written and oral
- First Aid/CPR required
- H2S required
