- Plan, organize, and support daily transportation operations to ensure smooth service delivery
- Work closely with the General Manager and team to maintain high service standards
- Supervise drivers and support staff during assigned shifts
- Assist with dispatch, scheduling, and real-time operational adjustments
- Ensure all routes operate on time and meet service requirements
- Promote and enforce safety procedures and company policies
- Provide on-the-ground support and guidance to drivers
- Assist with incident reporting, investigations, and follow-ups
- Monitor service performance and identify areas for improvement
- Maintain clear communication with internal teams and external partners
- Support onboarding and training of new employees
- Assist in organizing team meetings, safety briefings, and operational updates
- Prepare and maintain reports, logs, and operational records
- Help manage workforce coverage, including shift changes and absences
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational planning
- Maintain a professional, safe, and team-oriented work environment
- Assist with additional responsibilities or projects as requested
- You’ll help ensure Yellowknife’s transit and school bus services operate safely, efficiently, and reliably every day
- You’ll support drivers and frontline teams with real-time operational guidance and leadership
- You’ll help maintain strong service standards and a positive customer experience across both service lines
- You’ll contribute to a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- You’ll play an important role in supporting safe operations, workforce coverage, and daily service continuity
- You’ll make a direct impact on the community by helping deliver dependable transportation services
- Experience in transit operations or a related field
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to lead, support, and guide a team
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Teams, along with general computer systems
- Ability to manage operational challenges and make timely decisions
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

- Competitive annual salary $70,000
