SSRG is seeking an experienced Regional Manager for the Northwest Territories to provide strategic and operational leadership, oversee client-focused security operations, and support the continued growth of our services across the territory.The Regional Manager, Northwest Territories (RMNT) is responsible for all client-focused uniformed guarding and mobile operations across the Territory. The position plays a critical role by providing meaningful, effective leadership to a diverse team of personnel who provide protective services to a variety of SSRG clients. The RMNT is ultimately responsible for customer service excellence across the region.SSRG is one of Canada's leading security companies.   • Providing effective and inspiring leadership throughout the region
  • Building and maintaining strong service-focused relationships with clients
  • Leading, coaching, developing and retaining a high-performance team, with emphasis on service excellence, employee engagement, strategic planning and program budgeting
  • Orchestrating the delivery of programs and services; developing a broad and deep knowledge of all programs and services offered by the organization
  • Cultivating a work environment in which our people are engaged, feel valued and supported, and are afforded opportunities for internal growth
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across all business lines
  • Identifying new business opportunities, and playing an integral role in business development and procurement processes
  • Promoting and ensuring a high standard of professionalism including dress, deportment, and both on and off duty conduct by all team members
  • Ensuring the continued financial viability of the organization's operational units through sound fiscal management
  • Developing and maintaining effective, trust-based relationships with existing and potential customers and leveraging relationships to obtain future business
  • Managing performance and disciplinary matters involving personnel
  • Overseeing timekeeping, payroll and a fleet of SSRG vehicles
Requirements
  • Minimum five years of experience in complex, senior leadership roles in security, public safety, industrial operations or a related field; 10+ years of experience is strongly preferred
  • An exceptional work history with a proven track record of success
  • Demonstrated success in a regulated industry where compliance is essential
  • Integrity beyond reproach and an exceptional reputation in the Canadian security, risk management, industrial or public safety community
  • The credibility and proven ability to build trust-based relationships with key external stakeholders across multiple industries
  • A demonstrated history of building and maintaining meaningful working relationships with internal stakeholders and working collaboratively across internal business lines
  • The insight and skill to lead with a collaborative, engaging approach that encourages creativity and individuality, and continuously invites fresh perspective
  • The demonstrated ability to think critically, break down problems and recognize complex patterns and linkages that are not always apparent
  • An empathetic and impartial approach to problem solving that seeks to understand issues and resolve conflict both effectively and efficiently
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to pass a criminal record check, background check and obtain a federal security clearance
  • An undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Working ConditionsThe RMNT is based in Yellowknife, with travel across Canada as needed. The position works both remotely with access to an SSRG office as needed.The RMNT generally works traditional office hours but is required to be available and accessible at all times in order to respond to urgent matters that may arise.Company Perks
