This position serves as the primary liaison between Holt Renfrew and constructors, consultants, and internal stakeholders. This is a 12-month contract.Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:Coordinate with the Director of Construction, store leadership, general contractors and internal teams to execute the project from inception to completionPlan the construction project and prepare the draft construction schedule in conjunction with the Director/Senior Manager of ConstructionEnsure delivery of Store Design & Planning programs focused on all aspects of the project including project design, planning, scheduling, resource allocation, budget management, technical direction, and vendor managementReview contract drawings and specifications to confirm compliance with project requirementsEnsure that the contract drawings in the possession of the General Contractor are current, and have incorporated all Request for Information (RFI), Contemplated Change Notice (CCN), and Change Notice (CN) revisionsProcess changes received from the General Contractor in conjunction with the Architect and other consultants including review and substantiation of pricing, checking subcontractor quotations to ensure that they are complete and reasonable, addressing any impact to the scheduleProfessionally engage with contractors, architects and stakeholders, effectively communicating company priorities and concernsProcess monthly contract draws and in conjunction with the Architect and other Consultants ensure the requested payment is in full accordance with the contract price including all accumulative changes and credits, etc., and that it represents an accurate value based on the level of completionFoster strong working relationships with general contractors, architects and consultants to support future project collaborationRead, interpret, analyze and forecast projects' cost reports and determine the status of the job in terms of schedule and costingTrack unit costs, comparing daily site progress with initial project estimates alongside the Project SuperintendentConduct project meetings on a regular basis (weekly or bi-weekly as needed)Coordinate with the Contractor to effectively resolve project challenges such as delivery, labour availability, scheduling and payment disputesMaintain working knowledge of trade union agreements and compliance requirementsThe ideal candidate:Relevant post- secondary education or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience5+ years of progressive experience in construction, design, project managementPrevious budget management experienceSuperior communication and interpersonal skills, including tact, diplomacy, influencing and negotiation capabilitiesComprehensive understanding of corporate and industry practices, standards and processes and their impact on project activitiesProficiency in relevant computer systems and project management softwareAbility to travel within Canada approx 25% of the time (site visits 1- 3 days per trip)Holt Renfrew is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
