Catholic Social Services is currently seeking a contract full-time 40 hours per week, Program Coordinator in EDMONTON to join our Immigration and Settlement Services team. The contract ends on May 30, 2026, with the possibility of extension.Job application closing date: April 22, 2026.Job Summary:Supporting the delivery of Immigration and Settlement Services (ISS) programs by coordinating program activities, conducting research, assisting with report writing, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among funded and non-funded organizations within the CoP to support the Needs and Assets Assessment and Referral Services (NAARS), liaising with key community stakeholders, promoting programs, and handling administrative tasks as needed.General:
  • Coordinate the delivery of program activities geared towards supporting newcomers’ settlement and integration process in Canada (e.g., delivering information sessions, presentations; facilitating client focus groups; etc.).
  • Conduct research to identify newcomer needs, trends, challenges, and potential gaps in services.
  • Develop opportunities for program development and improvement.
  • Keep accurate records and statistics related to program activities.
  • Participate in data analysis, report writing, and evaluation.
  • Liaise with key community stakeholders to maintain the existing or establish new partnerships and collaboration.
  • Engage in program promotional activities.
  • Promptly respond to inquiries from clients, staff, volunteers, and the public.
  • Perform other related duties as required (e.g., taking meeting minutes).
Specific to CoP Coordinator:
  • Engages with funded and non-funded organizations to strengthen the CoP network.
  • Coordinates regular CoP meetings to discuss best practices, emerging challenges, and service improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, including community agencies, government bodies, and service providers.
  • Works with CoP members to enhance the delivery of NAARS within their designated zones.
  • Ensures a seamless referral process between organizations to support client needs effectively.
  • Facilitates discussions among agencies to establish agreements supporting the portability of settlement plans and assists organizations in drafting and finalizing MOUs to formalize referral and service coordination processes.
  • Engages in activities related to knowledge sharing and capacity building.
  • Completes associated monitoring and reporting tasks.
What This Job Requires:
  • Diploma/Degree in Education, Human Services or equivalent.
  • 2 years' experience working with newcomers to Canada.
  • Experience building effective partnerships and collaborations.
  • Experience in doing research, working with data, and writing reports.
  • Additional relevant certifications or designations considered an asset.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in diverse team.
  • Have access to access to a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license as driving clients is part of the role.
  • Police Information Check including vulnerable sector search, and Intervention Record Check current within six (6) months

Knowledge
  • Sound knowledge of Canadian social systems (i.e., immigration, settlement, health, legal, education, financial, social organization, housing, employment; etc.).
  • Strong understanding of newcomer settlement services, particularly NAARS.
  • Strong knowledge of community resources.
  • Knowledge of data collection, reporting, and best practices in service coordination.
  • Proficiency in the use of effective collaboration strategies with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated competence with Microsoft Office suite, Analitics, Social Media, Graphic Design, Videoconferencing Software Platforms (i.e., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, etc.), and other Agency computer applications and databases.
