Your future starts here.PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:The coordinator is responsible for financial and operational reporting between CPKC and partner railways, supporting interline billing, project tracking, and process improvement. The role works across multiple systems and teams to ensure accurate inter-railway transactions, strengthen reporting practices, and support new contract and project development.This position can be based in Calgary, Alberta or Montreal Quebec.POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Manage operational tracking and billing activities in line with interline contracts
- Oversee service invoicing, budgeting/forecasting, and monthly operational reviews
- Support annual capital planning
- Develop quarterly financial and operational metrics for senior leadership
- Track progress of projects, initiatives, and agreement development
- Identify cost recovery opportunities and lead billing validation
- Improve reporting processes to support accurate inter-railway billing
- Explore new technologies to enhance operational management and decision-making
- Provide analytical support for audits and partner transaction reviews
- Contribute to cross-functional teams developing new interline agreements
- Support operational and financial reporting for special projects
- Post-secondary degree in business analytics, data science, accounting/finance, economics, IT, transportation, or related field
- 2 years' experience in freight or commuter railway operations or other transportation logistics
- Proficiency with Excel, SAP, databases, or BI tools for data analysis and reporting
- Demonstrated process improvement skills; experience with audits and financial reconciliations
- Strong stakeholder collaboration and teamwork abilities.
