- Lead full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried roles across Alberta
- Create and update job descriptions
- Post roles, screen applicants, source candidates, and manage selection processes
- Partner with Account managers to understand workforce needs
- Coordinate interviews and facilitate hiring decisions
- Set up and onboard new hires
- Ensure a seamless and engaging onboarding experience
- Support internal recruitment initiatives and succession planning
- Participate in external career fairs and other industry events to promote our employer brand and attract key talent
- Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies and procedures
- Provide guidance on disciplinary matters, investigations, safety, and benefits
- Respond to employee and applicant inquiries within 1 business day
- Manage HR email and ticketing systems (close requests within 1–3 days depending on complexity)
- Maintain accurate employee records, promotions, employment changes, and terminations
- Ensure compliance with employment standards and company policies
- Continuously improve people processes and stay current with HR best practices
- Build strong relationships with front-line employees
- Conduct engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture
- Educate employees on policies, programs, and resources
- Ensure alignment with organizational values and culture
- Deliver exceptional customer service with patience and professionalism
- Coach and mentor managers through employee-related matters
- Support performance conversations and development initiatives
- Escalate leadership concerns appropriately
- Help build a strong, accountable leadership culture
- Support execution of People & Culture programs including:
- Learning plans
- Performance reviews
- Benefits administration
- Internal recruiting opportunities
- Assist with corporate engagement initiatives
- Carry out additional tasks as required by the HR leadership team
- 2+ years of progressive HR experience, with strong recruitment exposure
- Experience supporting both hourly and salaried recruitment
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation (Alberta)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional customer service mindset
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
- Strong emotional intelligence and professionalism
- Self-starter who identifies gaps and implements solutions
- Highly responsive and proactive communicator
- Positive attitude with the ability to handle high-volume work with professionalism
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field an asset
- CPHR (Chartered Professional in Human Resources) designation or actively working toward certification is an asset
