- Performing technical requirement development, coming from reference and applicable documents from Metiers, Standards, Certification, Safety, Platform and Customer, then the developed requirements allocation to the various subsystems
- Defining various train system architectures: operational, capabilities, performance, maintenance/overhaul.
- Ensuring consistency and compatibility between all the sub-systems has been confirmed and documented,
- Writing sub-system specification (TPS) and, if needed sub-system architecture descriptions for procurement or development.
- Complete Requirements Management interfaces (DOORS) and Contract Deliverables as per CDRL lists.
- Driving technical relationships with suppliers and customer. Evaluate risks & validation (including internal Design Reviews)
- Lead and/or participate in technical meetings with customer in to provide technical direction.
- Defining and performing Train verification strategy in close collaboration with all Engineering metiers, Certification & Validation teams and Participating Units.
- Verifying the System requirements definition and System Architecture design with all necessary verification means, including modelling and simulation means
- Participating to Train Lab activities in support of Train Validation and Testing
- Prepare or evaluate test specifications
- Ensuring the train integration and tuning.
- Supporting Train validation in the execution of static and dynamic tests.
- Applying the rules and process as defined by Engineering Metier Department.
- Performing reporting at project level and metier level (via weekly reports and KPIs)
- Implementation and update Engineering risks mitigation plan.
- Providing Return on Experience (RoE to the relevant Engineering Metier Authority for the sake of continous improvement
