Adecco is currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for a full-time opportunity in Thunder Bay, ON. This role is suited to an experienced structural engineering professional who is ready to take a leadership role in delivering complex building and infrastructure projects within a multidisciplinary consulting environment.The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and delivering structural engineering work across a variety of project types, including commercial, industrial, and residential developments. This position involves leading design activities from early-stage development through to completion, providing technical oversight, and ensuring high-quality project delivery. You will also contribute to business development efforts, mentor junior team members, and support field and construction-related activities.Salary: $115,000 - $145,000Location: Thunder Bay, ONSchedule: Monday - FridayContract: Full-time | PermanentVacancy Status: Current vacancyResponsibilitiesLead structural design on multi-discipline projects from proposal stage through to completionPerform structural analysis and design for commercial, industrial, and residential building structures using steel, concrete, wood, and masonryPrepare technical reports, drawings, calculations, and specificationsManage project scope, budgets, schedules, and deliverablesProvide structural input on proposals, fee estimates, and business development initiativesConduct site visits, field reviews, inspections, and construction support activitiesReview shop drawings and contractor submissions for compliance and accuracyCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, designers, and technologistsEnsure projects meet quality standards, codes, and regulatory requirementsMentor and support junior engineers and technical staffRequirementsMust be eligible to work and reside within CanadaBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focusMinimum 7 years of structural engineering experienceStrong technical expertise in structural analysis, design, and code complianceExperience managing projects, budgets, and engineering deliverablesEligible for or registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario (other jurisdictions considered an asset)Strong problem-solving and analytical abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and structural design/analysis tools considered an assetWillingness to travel for site work and field inspections as requiredValid driver's license and ability to obtain required security clearancesWhat We OfferOpportunity to lead complex and high-impact structural engineering projectsCollaborative multidisciplinary team environmentStrong emphasis on professional growth and mentorship opportunitiesExposure to a diverse range of project types and industries across North AmericaEmployee-focused culture committed to technical excellence and quality deliveryInterested in this position?
