
Senior Specialist, Proposals

- Analyze customer requirements;
- Generate a system concept and internal statement of work;
- Lead strategic bids and proposals;
- Liaise with all stakeholders and departments to coordinate proposal inputs (technical and programmatic);
- Prepare requests for quotations and specifications for potential subcontractors & manage technical and cost inputs from subcontractors;
- Prepare clear and concise technical proposals and verify the compliance to customer requirements;
- Contribute to the risk evaluation and mitigation related to the target proposal;
- Ensures compliance with internal procedures and guidelines;
- Generate structured cost estimates and verify completeness of project costs;
- Participate in regular proposal status reviews;
- Present solutions and costs to senior management and prepare review approval packages;
- Provide technical support to Business Development;
- Ability to support in demonstrations/ presentations with prospective customers and at industry conferences/events would be an asset.
- Requires proficient knowledge of job area typically obtained through a combination of education and experience. Must have practical knowledge of proposals;
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, commerce or management;
- Experience in power plant simulation or power plant controls an asset;
- Familiarity with various standards pertaining to nuclear applications would be an asset;
- Capable of multitasking and working under pressure with tight deadlines;
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate directly with Customers, Subcontractors, and all levels of Management;
- Able to work independently and in a team-based environment;
- Bilingual French and English with demonstrated strong English written skills;
- Organized and structured approach with the ability to manage own time effectively while operating across multiple proposals;
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Project or equivalent, and Microsoft Office.
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
