Job Description:Job SummaryAs a Senior Developer, Process Automation, you are a key technical leader driving the strategy, architecture, and delivery of intelligent automation across Porter Airlines. This role provides technical vision, design reusable frameworks, integrate AI/ML models into enterprise workflows, and enable business-led automation initiatives. The Senior Developer, Process Automation ensures enterprise-grade quality, security, and scalability while mentoring the next generation of automation developers.
Duties & Responsibilities

Architect and design enterprise-scale automation solutions that integrate AI, ML, and cloud services
Lead complex, multi-team automation initiatives across business units
Serve as a technical authority and escalation point for automation design and troubleshooting
Establish and champion automation architecture standards, coding guidelines, and best practices
Understand the possibilities of agentic AI and build solutions that leverage autonomous agents to extend automation capabilities beyond traditional rule-based workflows
Design reusable frameworks, templates, and components to accelerate delivery
Integrate LLM/SLM models into automation pipelines to enable intelligent decision-making
Partner with different parts of Porter IT to align initiatives
Mentor and develop technical skills in other developers
Lead research and evaluation of emerging technologies for future automation capabilities
Influence Porter’s broader automation and AI strategy, working with executive and business stakeholders
Represent the automation practice in enterprise architecture and technology governance forums
Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy

Qualifications

University degree and/or equivalent education and experience
6+ years of experience in RPA/intelligent automation development with 2+ years in a technical leadership role
Expert knowledge of RPA platforms (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere) and orchestration tools
Deep experience integrating Python-based AI/ML solutions into automation workflows
Strong architectural skills, including security, scalability, and enterprise integration patterns
Hands-on cloud experience (AWS preferred) in automation hosting and integration
Outstanding leadership, mentorship, and cross-functional communication skills
RPA developer certifications strongly preferred
Airline, transportation, or regulated industry experience considered a strong asset
