Duration: 1 year Contract (1 year Extension possible)
Work Hours: 36.25 hours/week (Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM – 4:30 PM)
Job Summary
The Government of Alberta is seeking an experienced Change Management Specialist to support a large-scale transformation program. The role focuses on ensuring successful adoption of new processes, systems, and tools through structured change management, communication, training, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute change management strategies and plans
  • Conduct stakeholder impact and readiness assessments
  • Create communication plans and stakeholder messaging
  • Develop training materials including guides, presentations, CBT modules, videos, and FAQs
  • Support training planning, scheduling, and delivery coordination
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and engagement sessions
  • Translate technical/program changes into business-friendly communication
  • Track change risks, issues, and adoption progress
  • Support rollout, readiness, and post-implementation adoption activities
  • Prepare regular status reports for stakeholders and leadership
Must-Have Requirements
  • 7+ years experience in Change Management roles
  • 7+ years experience developing training and learning materials
  • 7+ years experience creating stakeholder communication materials
  • Strong experience with change management methodologies and tools
Nice-to-Have
  • Prosci Change Management Certification
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and readiness planning
  • Experience working within Government of Alberta (GoA) environments
  • Experience in digital transformation initiatives
  • Experience in impact analysis, workshops, and change planning
