Several common principles ground the research conducted by scholars in FASS, including: a commitment to addressing issues with local, national and global impact; critical policy analysis; a focus on ethics and social justice; and building contextual and cultural understanding.Dalhousie University is currently seeking applications for the prestigious Donald Hill Family postdoctoral fellowship position within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. This year's competition seeks applicants from any discipline in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. The successful applicant will work with other Fellows from the Faculties of Computer Science and Medicine to meet the objectives of this fellowship program while engaging full- time in their own research. Qualifications/Requirements of PositionThe successful candidate must will have a strong track record in their field of study. Their research area must be in one of the disciplines in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. They will have research interests which align with and support ongoing initiatives within the Faculty. Applicants will also have a demonstrable interest in broader societal impact of emerging technology and promotion of a culture of accountability for the future of society.This fellowship opportunity is only open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents who have completed their PhD in the last 3 years. Salary Range/Pay Rate $70,000 (inclusive of benefits)
