Position Type: Full-TimePosition OverviewFood World Supermarket is seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Operations Manager to lead operations for our 176,000 sq. ft. high-volume grocery store. This role is responsible for overseeing all grocery retail functions including fresh departments, center store, front-end operations, inventory control, staffing, and financial performance.The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong grocery retail experience who can drive operational excellence, maximize profitability, and deliver an outstanding shopping experience.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily operations of all grocery departments including Produce, Meat, Dairy, Deli, Bakery, Frozen, Dry Grocery, Non-Food, and Front-EndLead and manage department managers and a large team (100+ employees)Drive sales growth, gross margin, and overall store profitabilityMonitor shrink, waste control, and inventory turnoverEnsure food safety, sanitation, and compliance with all regulatory standardsDevelop staffing plans, scheduling, and labor cost control strategiesMaintain high merchandising standards and promotional executionAnalyze sales reports, KPIs, and financial data to improve performanceBuild strong relationships with vendors and negotiate purchasing agreementsResolve customer concerns and ensure exceptional customer service standardsImplement operational improvements to enhance efficiency and productivityQualifications5+ years of senior management experience in a high-volume grocery storeExperience managing large-format grocery operations (100,000+ sq. ft. preferred)Strong understanding of fresh departments and food safety regulationsProven leadership and team development experienceStrong financial, budgeting, and inventory management skillsExperience with grocery POS systems and retail softwareExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsKey CompetenciesGrocery retail expertiseLeadership & team buildingOperational efficiencyFinancial managementInventory & shrink controlVendor managementCustomer-focused leadershipWhy Join Food World Supermarket?Lead one of the largest grocery retail operations (176,000 sq. ft.)Competitive salary with performance-based bonusesOpportunity to shape and influence a growing grocery brandCareer advancement within a dynamic retail organizationCollaborative leadership environmentMake a real impact in delivering quality food and service to the community
