
Payroll Supervisor/Manager

- Supervise and process semi-monthly payroll, including onboarding new hires, managing terminations, and processing salary adjustments.
- Ensure accurate calculation, reconciliation, and remittance of payroll deductions, statutory withholdings, and garnishments.
- Maintain compliance with year-end reporting requirements, including preparing T4s, W-2s, and other necessary forms.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing payroll and benefits inquiries, resolving issues, and offering guidance to employees.
- Administer benefit programs, including enrollment, orientation, and invoice reconciliation, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Oversee leave administration, including statutory leaves, short-term and long-term disability, and other absence programs.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Finance to ensure accurate payroll reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Prepare and maintain payroll documentation, reports, and records for audits and management review.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including benefit carriers and brokers, to address claims, compliance issues, and renewals.
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimize payroll and benefits operations.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll management or a related field.
- Proficiency with payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and other similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, including statutory requirements and year-end reporting processes.
- Experience in benefits administration, including enrollment, claims management, and compliance reporting.
- Familiarity with financial reporting tools such as Crystal Reports and general ledger reconciliation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage and resolve employee inquiries effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in payroll and benefits processes.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
