
Indigenous Support and Liaison Advisor

- Serve as a liaison between Indigenous communities and project teams, integrating environmental considerations into railway projects and ensuring culturally appropriate engagement.
- Facilitate consultations, workshops, and transparent communication regarding environmental impacts, respecting Indigenous protocols and perspectives.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of environmental impact mitigation plans tailored to Indigenous contexts.
- Inform and train engineering teams on incorporating Indigenous traditional knowledge and fostering respectful engagement.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and prepare clear reports and recommendations, accurately reflecting the views and expectations of Indigenous communities.
- Understanding of environmental and regulatory issues in the railway sector in Quebec.
- Experience organizing public or community consultations.
- Proficiency with office and document management software.
- Basic knowledge of Indigenous law and community engagement policies.
- Knowledge of an Indigenous language is an asset.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, both in French and in English*
