- Be the second in command to supervise the fueling staff
- Maintain the daily fueling operations
- Coordinates the activity with lead-fueler and fuelers in performing in-plane and ground equipment fueling services
- Responsible for disseminating the instructions to fueling personnel and monitoring their activities
- Responsible for making spot assignment changes to optimize manpower and equipment utilization in an ever-changing workflow
- Ensures compliance with company, airlines, FAA, MWAA, and OSHA procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Assists in the training process of all newly hired and promoted fuelers, leads, dispatchers, and supervisors
- Accounting of fuel dispersals and receipts
- Interface with airlines' shift management personnel to implement expansion as operational requirements dictate
- Work with airport operations personnel to ensure all safety and security guidelines are adhered to participate in the airline's audit
- Performs in operative gauge procedures as necessary
- Implement monthly communication, safety, and staff meetings
- Completes accident/incident investigation and all associated paperwork as necessary
- Perform other duties as directed by the immediate supervisor and or listed in GPPM Supplement
- Implement daily tailgate meeting
- Responsible for Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental activates at the station with an objective of reducing employee injuries, aircraft and equipment damage
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 - 3 years’ experience in fueling operations
- Experience in a supervisory role (in a unionized environment, an asset)
- Knowledge of in-plane fueling and GSE fueling, as well as familiarity with equipment such as hydrants and tanker refuelers, is an asset.
- Valid driver's license; Class 1 is preferred
- Good oral and verbal communication skills in both English and French
- Available and flexible to work 24/7 on various shifts (day, evening, weekends, and holidays)
