- Proactively plan customer visits 1-2 weeks in advance.
- Call on established and prospective customers to sell company products and services.
- Grow our industrial footprint within Edmonton and surrounding areas.
- Arrange frequent joint calls with Univar and Supplier Technical Service Specialists.
- Maintain a high-integrity sampling program for key customers.
- Co-ordinate with Customer Service and Operations to maintain customer service levels and ensure resolution of complaints.
- Co-ordinate with Purchasing department to ensure availability of product.
- Utilize Salesforce.com to manage customer information during all planning phases.
- Out of town travel is expected. Estimated at 4-6 nights per month.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- University Degree or College Diploma in a related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years of previous outside sales experience preferred
- Oil Sands sales or technical experience is a strong asset
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across sales, operations, and internal support teams
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiative, work independently, and drive results
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, capable of prioritizing multiple accounts and deadlines effectively
- Proven ability to plan, lead, and run effective customer meetings, including setting agendas, facilitating discussions, and driving clear next steps
- Demonstrates a consistently positive, professional attitude and a customer-first mindset
- Well-spoken with strong communication skills, confident engaging with customers both verbally and in writing
