For further information, visit .SUMMARYThe Sr. Project Manager, Sales & Technical Services is a senior-level hybrid role responsible for managing multiple concurrent projects, developing new business opportunities, preparing estimates and bids, and delivering high-level technical services including emergency support, system design, and design review. This role requires strong project delivery capabilities, customer relationship management, technical expertise, and business development acumen, supporting the strategic growth of BGIS ITS in Western Canada.KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESProject Management & Delivery
  • Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously from initiation through close-out.
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, scopes, and resource plans.
  • Work with SR Tech team to Coordinate field technicians, subcontractors, and third-party vendors.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet BGIS ITS quality, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Provide progress updates, risk management, and reporting to leadership and clients.
  • Oversee commissioning, verification, and turnover documentation.
Business Development & Estimating
  • Monitor job boards, tender portals, and industry opportunities.
  • Lead proposal writing, scope development, and estimating for BAS, mechanical, electrical, and integrated technical service opportunities.
  • Conduct site assessments and engage clients to understand project requirements.
  • Prepare and submit bids to customers, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Support the Western Canada GM in developing strategic growth plans.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and identify follow-on work opportunities.
  • Represent BGIS at industry events, meetings, and presentations.
Technical Services & Emergency Support
  • At the Manager's approval, provide emergency technical response, including onsite troubleshooting, diagnostics, and resolution support.
  • Offer advanced technical oversight to technicians and subcontractors.
  • Conduct system analysis and optimization for BAS, HVAC controls, and integrated technical systems.
  • Lead or support root-cause investigations on critical issues.
  • Ensure accurate technical documentation is maintained.
Design & Design Review
  • Prepare system designs, submittals, and tender packages as required.
  • Review engineering drawings and control system schematics for accuracy and constructability.
  • Validate compliance with BGIS ITS standards, client requirements, and applicable codes.
  • Provide design clarification and value-engineering recommendations.
KEY DELIVERABLES
  • Successful delivery of assigned projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • High-quality estimates, proposals, and tender responses.
  • Regular and accurate reporting to management and clients.
  • Completed design reviews with documented comments and recommendations.
  • Emergency response logs, diagnostic summaries, and follow-up actions.
  • Consistent contribution to Western Canada revenue and margin targets.
  • Documented business development pipeline activity.
  • Positive client satisfaction scores and repeat business metrics.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
  • Maintain clear communication with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate accountability, ownership, and responsiveness in all tasks.
  • Exhibit strong technical competency in BAS, HVAC systems, and integrated controls.
  • Support and mentor junior staff and technicians.
  • Uphold BGIS ITS safety policies, standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain professionalism and alignment with corporate values.
  • Meet or exceed annual performance metrics set by the Western Canada GM.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • 7+ years experience in BAS, technical services, construction project management, or related fields.
  • Proven ability to manage medium to large-scale technical projects.
  • Strong understanding of building automation, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and controls integration.
  • Experience with estimating, proposal development, and business development.
  • Ability to respond to emergency or critical onsite technical issues when approved.
  • Design and design-review experience strongly preferred.
  • PMP designation or engineering/technologist certification considered an asset.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
