Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment (post pounders, augers, digging equipment, skid steers, loaders, etc.) to set signposts in the ground
Install posts, beams, and hardware for guardrails
Install traffic signs, regulatory signs, and directional signage according to highway standards
Mount and secure signs with proper hardware
Follow traffic control plans and set up safety zones (cones, barricades, flagging)
Load and unload materials from trucks safely
Follow the directions of the foreman and adhere to all occupational health and safety standards
Perform other road maintenance duties as required in all weather conditions

Qualifications

Experience operating skid steer and other equipment
Be able to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs. and comfortable working at heights
Skilled in working with power tools
Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license and a clear 3-year driver’s abstract
Previous experience as a Traffic Controller or Flagging experience is ideal
Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
Valid ESC Fall Pro and ESC EWP tickets are an asset

Work Conditions

Local applicants only (no camp or LOA provided)
Monday to Friday 8-to-12-hour days
