- Provide strategic planning and implementation to further the Colleges' interests and the goals of the institutional strategic plans; ensure strategy execution in an integrated approach across the institution.
- Provide strategic leadership to a broad portfolio; communicate the Colleges' vision and goals to the broader external community (including alumni, friends, trusts and foundations, and corporations); and support the engagement of the Colleges in the municipal and provincial communities.
- Create, revise, and implement departmental strategic and operational plans which support the objectives of the institutional strategic plans.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of a culture of accountability and performance-based initiatives.
- Ensure departmental goals are realistic and sustainable within the context of institutional priorities.
- Lead a small team of support staff and student interns/volunteers.
- Ensure philanthropic priorities, strategies, plans and programs are aligned with the Colleges' academic planning and priorities.
- Strengthen existing and build new relationships with alumni, donors, business leaders, foundations and corporations.
- Coordinate the development and execution of significant, major and transformational giving strategies and activities.
- Build on the success of the two annual fundraising events: Annual Fundraising Breakfast and Annual Fundraising Dinner.
- In collaboration with the Advancement Committee, explore new revenue generation streams including lotteries, events and other initiatives as identified by the committee.
- Provide input as required for grants prepared by the President and Executive Leadership Team.
- Implement sustainable fundraising programs with integrated fundraising objectives.
- Post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline such as Business or Education, with seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in complex, multi-stakeholder organizations and relevant experience in development is required, and experience in alumni relations is considered an asset, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Exceptional fundraising and event planning skills; recognized professional designations (e.g., CFRE) or relevant program completions are considered assets.
- Professional demeanour with excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proven ability to communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
- Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic work environment.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
- Proficient in Salesforce and Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with fundraising or development software is an asset. Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and maintain confidentiality.

- Salary range of $87,200-$109,600 per year.
