Position SummaryResearch assistance is sought to work with the McMurray Métis and Dr. Eaton to digitize and transcribe a selection of HBC post journals for Fort Chipewyan 1801-1927.
Position RequirementsThe successful candidate must be able to read and decipher handwritten records and be familiar with technologies and software that can assist in the transcription of handwritten records. This work requires spending time in the HBC archives in Winnipeg. The successful candidate will work independently under light supervision and be responsible to report progress regularly and be diligent with time management. Experience is required working with archival materials and preference will be given to candidates with experience working with documents from the 1800s.

Salary Range $25-$28 per hour depending on experience
