OPPORTUNITY TO SERVERed Door Family Shelter seeks committed and passionate individuals to serve on its volunteer Board of Directors. Red Door is looking for those who want to participate in supporting this vibrant and growing organization that provides critical support services to families experiencing homelessness and women and children escaping violence across the Greater Toronto Area.As a board member, you will be required to:
  • Be an ambassador for the organization.
  • Attend quarterly board meetings - please note that currently most of the meetings are held online and when in person, they are held in the Leslieville neighborhood.
  • Serve actively on a minimum of one Board committee and support committee initiatives.
  • Attend and support fundraising and shelter initiatives.
Candidates must reside in Toronto, Ontario.We are currently recruiting a Board member with core expertise in finance and accounting, including the ability to review and assess budgets, financial statements, and audit materials.Additional assets include:
  • CPA or CFA designation
  • Fundraising or capital project development experience
  • Human resources, equity and inclusion expertise
  • Prior board experience
