- Develop and produce relevant ALM management reporting information to enable better understanding of key business drivers. Assess existing ALM strategies on a regular basis to confirm their ongoing appropriateness
- Monitor the investment mandates for all asset portfolios, to remain within target thresholds. Review and rebalance the hedge positions of direct equity investments and segregated funds guarantees
- Identify and evaluate opportunities to optimize the risk-return profile of portfolios, working in collaboration with the CIO and the asset management firm. Conduct market analysis to identify investment opportunities and risks and make informed investment decisions
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including LICAT, IFRS, and other applicable OSFI guidelines
- Identify and evaluate opportunities to optimize the risk-return profile of portfolios, working in collaboration with the CIO and the asset management firm. Conduct market analysis to identify investment opportunities and risks and make informed investment decisions
- Produce the quarterly Asset Liability Management dashboard (ALM indicators, equity limits), using inputs from Corporate Actuarial
- Lead the quarterly asset rebalancing process, coordinating the efforts of Corporate Actuarial and Finance. Work closely with internal departments including finance, actuarial, and risk management as well as external partners to ensure cohesive and effective engagement
- University degree in Finance, Investments, Mathematics, Actuarial Science or a related field required
- An MBA or professional designation (CFA, FRM) preferred
- 10+ years of related asset liability management or investments experience
- Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with interest rate risk management and equity hedging
- Knowledge of LICAT capital requirements is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- Proven ability to meet challenges, goals and objectives with enthusiasm, drive, and initiative
- Familiarity with VBA, AXIS and/or ATLAS would be an asset
