- Demonstrated experience in negotiating complex contracts, preferable within the public sector environment
- Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, and leadership skills, and the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to make decisions, work well under pressure and meet deadlines in an environment subject to changing priorities
- Demonstrated analytical problem solving skills to develop strategic, progressive, creative and innovative solutions with a focus on improving the sustainability and cost effectiveness of clinical service delivery
- General knowledge of Physician Compensation payment models, available provincial funding sources and competitive processes for obtaining increased funding, and PMA contract language.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill at implementing change management in a complex environment that is consistent with the vision, purpose and operating principles of the health authority.
- Demonstrated ability to assess complex information and situations, determine the impact, recommend solutions and implement change
- Demonstrated ability to ask critical questions, champion initiatives, and lead issue resolution where the individual may not be the subject area expert.
- Ability to create a shared vision and commitment to that vision by employing consensus building frameworks and concepts.
