Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) training and experience required.Skills And Abilities
Demonstrated success as a senior technical systems administrator or architect, as well as the successful completion of large information technology acquisition or design and build projects within the last three years.
Demonstrated ability to write technical standards documents.
Intermediate to expert-level system implementation, Privacy and Security standards and best practices skills.
Proven ability to track, coordinate and integrate external issues as they affect Island Health's Strategic plans.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate contract documents such as RFP's, RFI's, RFQ's, SOW's, etc.
Proven ability to write, analyze and edit project plans, proposals, Service Level Agreements, MOU's for accuracy and consistency.
Demonstrated ability to problem-solve with an overall Island Health perspective in alignment with key strategic priorities.
Demonstrated ability to establish and manage relationships with internal and external strategic partners and solution providers.

This WFH flexible role will be central in guiding projects and IMIT initiatives through Island Health's Architecture Review Board (ARB) processes and stages of review. The successful candidate will bring strong architectural judgment, sound governance discipline, and the ability to bring clarity to complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, technical domains, and competing priorities. More about the Role-- This is not a narrow technical design role. It is a senior architecture position that sits at the intersection of strategy, governance, delivery, privacy, security, and clinical operations. The Solutions Architect will evaluate proposed solutions for fit, feasibility, risk, integration, sustainability, and long-term architectural alignment. Success in this role requires an individual who can engage confidently with senior leaders, project teams, technical specialists, vendors, and clinical stakeholders while maintaining a practical focus on delivery, resilience, and organizational priorities.
