- Act as the primary point of contact for Project Managers and the main liaison between Valard crews and the client's Site Representative
- Lead and supervise on-site crews, ensuring construction activities comply with project drawings, specifications, schedules, budgets, and Valard safety and quality standards
- Promote and support the implementation of Valard's safety policies and procedures, leading by example
- Ensure all near-miss and incident events are properly investigated and that corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers to develop and maintain construction schedules through the efficient use of manpower, materials, tools, and equipment
- Support the management of subcontractors on site, including monitoring productivity to maintain project schedules and contract budgets
- Assist Project Managers in developing project execution plans, coordinating kick-off meetings and scope reviews, and working with the Contracts team to support successful project delivery
- Mentor, train, and motivate crews to foster a strong culture of safety, quality, and productivity
- Ensure crews are knowledgeable of, and consistently adhere to, company safety, construction, and quality policies and procedures
- Ensure accurate and timely completion and submission of crew timesheets
- Support internal and external audits and inspection activities as required
- Coordinate equipment reviews and scheduling
- Conduct employee performance reviews and support disciplinary actions, in collaboration with HR and Safety, as required for policy non-compliance
- 5 years of experience in the telecom construction industry (Applicable experience in utility infrastructure construction may also be considered)
- Working knowledge of fiber, copper cable, and coax placement both aerial and underground
- Knowledge in both Directional Drilling and Vibratory Plowing
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Experience leading multiple work crews
- Knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, project scheduling, cost, and quality controls
- Proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office
