- Help define customer requirements and translate these needs into concrete, manufacturable solutions
- Design and improve existing products to enhance their performance, durability, and quality
- Plan and manage PDC (product development cycle) activities: design, testing, validation, and reviews
- Ensure the efficient transition of developed products into production (documentation, testing, and startup monitoring)
- Provide technical support to production to resolve issues and stabilize processes
- Collaborate on cost estimates, manufacturing quotes, and bids (materials, time, operations, tooling), providing a clear and structured technical perspective
- Document the development process and prepare presentations/documents to support decision-making and alignment with customers (technical documents, requirements, testing, lessons learned)
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or equivalent) with relevant experience in product development
- Active member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Bilingualism in French and English (spoken and written) to collaborate with our English-speaking clients and partners
- Excellent analytical skills, mechanical understanding, and an innovation- and problem-solving-oriented approach
- Proficiency in 3D modeling (Solid Edge or equivalent software)
- Team player, self-motivated, and proactive; ability to work with precision
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Structured, curious, and action-oriented
- Technical knowledge of mold design and heat transfer
- Knowledge of plastics
