- Supervise, support and develop the team of senior accountants, ensuring effective task allocation and promoting their professional development.
- Monitor and analyze consolidated and non-consolidated items related to tangible and intangible fixed assets (continuity notes, signing bonuses, cash flow movements, etc.).
- Monitor and analyze leases in accordance with IFRS 16.
- Develop and implement control procedures to ensure the accuracy of financial data and compliance with internal policies.
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to optimize the production and quality of financial information.
- Actively participate in projects to automate and optimize fixed asset management.
- Provide financial data for tax returns, statutory financial statements, and internal and external audits.
- Prepare notes to the consolidated financial statements for tangible and intangible fixed assets and leases.
- Provide support to plants and team members during monthly closing periods.
- CPA designation (required)
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including experience in fixed asset management (an asset)
- Excellent analytical, synthesis and problem-solving skills
- Sense of initiative, autonomy and proactive approach
- Excellent command of Excel
- Knowledge of ERP systems (PeopleSoft, Longview – an asset)
- Bilingualism in French/English required; knowledge of Spanish is an asset
