- Site Coordination: Oversee daily special trackwork installation activities, ensuring alignment with project plans, schedules, and technical requirements.
- Technical Support: Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and survey data; provide guidance to site crews.
- Quality Collaboration: Work with the Quality team to implement inspection and test plans (ITPs). Participate in joint inspections and ensure compliance with design tolerances and material specifications. Support non-conformance reporting and corrective actions.
- Safety Collaboration: Partner with the Safety team to enforce site safety protocols and railway safety regulations. Participate in safety audits, hazard identification, and toolbox talks.
- Interface with EOR & Design Support: Coordinate with the EOR to clarify design intent, resolve technical queries, and approve field changes. Work with the Design Support team to address constructability issues, review shop drawings, and incorporate design updates into field execution.
- Progress Monitoring: Track work progress, prepare daily site reports, and escalate potential risks or delays.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical or logistical challenges in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, inspections, design changes, and approvals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in railway trackwork or heavy civil infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of track geometry, alignment, and construction tolerances.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including Quality, Safety, EOR, and Design Support.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with railway safety standards, quality management systems, and design review processes.
- Site-based role with exposure to outdoor conditions and active construction zones.
- May require shift work, weekends, and extended hours to meet project milestones.
