- Delivers engineering input and technical guidance to support structural construction activities.
- Applies knowledge of structural codes, standards, and best practices during construction.
- Reviews structural and architectural drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Evaluates and approves vendor shop drawings before fabrication starts.
- Supports contractor supervisors and trades personnel by clarifying structural issues found in design documents.
- Participates in resolving structural and architectural design or construction challenges as they arise.
- Manages, tracks, and prepares responses to structural and architectural RFIs.
- Contributes to constructability assessments for all structural scopes of work.
- Performs structural calculations; both manual and software-based; for foundations, concrete elements, and steel structures.
- Demonstrates advanced capability with engineering analysis for structural components (foundations, concrete, and steel).
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 7-10 years of relevant experience on comparable projects.
- Holds, or is eligible to obtain, P.Eng accreditation with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC).
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficient in standard computer applications, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
