Our client, a leading tier 1 manufacturer, is seeking a hands-on AP Supervisor to oversee accounts payable operations while contributing to treasury activities. This role offers the chance to manage a small team, streamline AP processes, and partner with finance leadership to optimize cash flow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily AP operations, including vendor management, invoice processing, reconciliations, and payment runsManage payments (wires, foreign exhange, cheques, EFT) while ensuring accuracy, compliance with U.S. GAAP, SOX, and internal controlsOversee treasury-related tasks including payment scheduling, weekly cash forecasting, monitoring liquidity, and supporting intercompany nettingPartner with Treasury to optimize working capital and support banking relationshipsPrepare AP-related journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for month/quarter/year-end closeLead process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and support external/internal auditsMentor and develop AP staff, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company policiesQualifications5+ years of progressive AP experience, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or lead roleBachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (designation a plus)Strong treasury exposure within AP (cash forecasting, payment scheduling, bank reporting)SAP experience in a manufacturing environment (required)Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, multi-sheet workbooks)Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skillsProven ability to drive process improvements and work cross-functionally
