- Lead the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
- Oversee month‑end and year‑end close activities, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure timely, accurate account reconciliations
- Review and approve payments and financial transactions to safeguard organizational assets
- Analyze financial results, identify trends and risks, and present insights to senior leadership
- Improve accounting workflows through automation, standardization, and process optimization
- Document and maintain accounting procedures and internal control frameworks
- Prepare and file indirect tax returns and manage related payment schedules
- Develop and maintain detailed cash‑flow forecasts to support liquidity and financial planning
- Track debt, financing, and project‑level funding requirements and compliance obligations
- Manage banking relationships, investments, and corporate credit programs
- Serve as the primary liaison for external audits, coordinating documentation and responses
- Ensure compliance with tax, audit, grant, and regulatory requirements
- Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing accounting team
- Establish performance goals, KPIs, and development plans to support accountability and growth
- Support succession planning and lead teams through organizational change
- CPA designation or equivalent professional qualification
- 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements
- Experience working with ERP or enterprise accounting systems
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain financial information to non‑financial audiences
- Proven leadership and team‑development capability
- High ethical standards with a commitment to transparency and integrity
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change in a complex environment
