Special Effects Rental / Retail Manager

- Manage the full rental process from inquiry and quoting to prep, dispatch, return, and inspection
- Coordinate equipment availability, prep schedules, and turnaround times
- Prepare and review rental contracts, checklists, and documentation
- Act as a key contact for touring clients, production managers, and technicians
- Other responsibilities as outlined by the GM
- Oversee retail sales of consumables, accessories, and equipment
- Assist customers with product selection, compatibility, and safe use
- Maintain pricing, product listings, and retail inventory levels
- Maintain accurate inventory records for rental and retail stock
- Oversee equipment testing, maintenance, and servicing
- Track losses, damages, and repairs and recommend replacements
- Ensure compliance with applicable Canadian regulations and standards (e.g., NFPA 1126, NRCan / ERD, TSSA, local AHJ requirements)
- Verify permits, certifications, and client qualifications when required
- Promote a strong safety-first culture
- Maintain strong client relationships and support repeat business
- Resolve issues related to equipment, timelines, or logistics professionally and efficiently
