The Continuing Education department of Champlain College Saint-Lambert requires the services of an HOURLY INSTRUCTOR to teach the course SOCIAL EXCLUSION AND VIOLENCE (351-506-LA).This course focuses on designing effective interventions for social exclusion and violence. Students will learn to recognize forms of violence and social exclusion. They will also learn to identify signs that an individual's well-being has been violated. Proper understanding of the impact on the person's development and functioning will be explored along with an examination of the legal consequences. Students will develop an understanding of factors that promote, contribute to, and sustain violence. Students will learn about available resources in order to recommend them to their clients.Required Qualifications :Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related discipline and 3 years teaching experience. Teaching experience in special care counselling or a related program such as criminology, social work, or clinical psychology is an asset. This course is taught in English; proficiency in English is required.
