The Continuing Education department of Champlain College Saint-Lambert requires the services of an HOURLY INSTRUCTOR to teach the course PHYSICAL DISABILITIES (351-503-LA).This course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with physical disabilities. The course also focuses on recognizing motor, neurological, visual, and auditory impairments. Students will learn to assess a person's adaptive potential by evaluating their strengths, challenges, and the ability of the individual and their family to adapt. The course emphasizes selecting intervention methods to promote empowerment. Emphasis is placed on setting relevant objectives and choosing techniques that enhance functional skills, boost self-esteem, and manage emotions. Students will also learn how to develop compensatory strategies applicable to their clients' needs. Practical recommendations for additional resources will also be covered, ensuring students are equipped to support clients professionally and ethically within various working contexts.Required Qualifications :Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related discipline and 3 years teaching experience.
