We just happen to do it by making gelato.The RoleReporting to the CEO and working alongside external finance support, this role owns the day-to-day financial operations of the business, including cash visibility, reporting discipline, process improvement, and cross-functional financial support.You will bring structure, discipline, and visibility to the finance function. You will protect cash, improve accuracy, tighten processes, and turn numbers into clear business insight.This role is hands on, high trust, and high impact.What You’ll OwnCash Management and Forecasting
- Monitor cash closely and help ensure the business stays ahead of risks
- Improve a 13 week rolling cash forecast
- Support financial prioritization decisions with sound judgment
- Surface risks early, helping leadership avoid surprises
- Execute Bi-weekly payroll
- Own month-end with internal financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and core accounting accuracy
- Ensure all financial information is timely, organized, and reliable
- Maintain discipline in processes, controls, and execution
- Turn financial results into useful insights, not just reports
- Identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities as early as possible
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and business performance reviews
- Partner with Operations, Sales, and Marketing to improve business performance and visibility
- Use your experience to improve systems, workflows, and reporting processes
- Reduce manual work and strengthen financial controls
- Help Righteous scale our finance function in a way that doesn’t create unnecessary complexity
- Look for useful ways to use technology, automation, and AI to improve speed, accuracy, and clarity
- Cash is accurate, visible, controlled, and proactively managed
- Month-end reporting is accurate, timely, and with key insights
- SLT can trust the numbers for leverage
- Finance helps improve performance, doesn’t just report on it
- Processes become tighter, simpler, and more scalable over time
- Strong background in accounting and financial operations
- Experience managing cash flow and forecasting
- Experience in a small or mid-sized business where you had to be hands-on
- Experience in manufacturing, inventory-based businesses, or CPG is a strong asset
- Experience with Xero, DEAR (CIn7) is preferred. Experience with Rippling, Dext, Plooto, Google Workspace, and SPS are assets.

- Base salary: $72,000–$84,000
