
Postdoctoral Fellow or Research Associate in Energy Forecasting and Planning

- Conduct research in the areas of energy forecasting and planning
- Develop integrated resource planning models for the energy sector
- Prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals
- Prepare technical reports for industrial and government partners
- Contribute to the preparation of proposals for funding agencies
- Work with junior students on various research projects
- Contribute to the research group as needed
- PhD in a relevant engineering discipline with an emphasis on energy systems
- Prior experience developing integrated resource planning models for the energy sector
- Some experience in modeling tools (e.g., LEAP, MARKAL)
- Proven ability to work independently
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in English
- Open to Canadian citizens, permanent residents of Canada, and foreign students
- Research experience broadly in the area of energy and environmental systems engineering.
- Individuals applying for this position should have an interest and some experience in integrated resource planning and modelling focused on energy demand and supply.
