- Administer WSIB, CNESST, short-term, and long-term disability claims from initiation to resolution, ensuring timely submission and follow-up.
- Liaise with employees, supervisors, WSIB representatives, insurers, and healthcare providers to facilitate claim processing, recovery, and return-to-work.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with CRH Canada standards, WSIB/CNESST requirements, and privacy legislation.
- Act as a key contact for WSIB and CNESST audits, appeals, and case reviews.
- Provide guidance and support to employees throughout their recovery, leave, and return-to-work journey.
- Collaborate with HR, Health & Safety, and operational teams to develop and implement modified work and accommodation programmes.
- Ensure compliance with WSIB legislation, Ontario disability legislation, Employment Standards Act (ESA), Human Rights Code, CRH Canada policies, and workplace safety regulations.
- Prepare and analyse reports on claim trends, costs, activity, and performance metrics to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Participate in joint health and safety committee and case management meetings, contributing to injury prevention and disability management strategies.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance employee experience.
- Bilingual (English/French).
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Occupational Health, Health Sciences, or a related field.
- Certification in Disability Management, Occupational Health, or WSIB-related training.
- Experience in a unionised and/or industrial environment.
- 2–5 years of experience managing WSIB claims, disability claims administration, or similar workplace injury programmes.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario WSIB and disability legislation, return-to-work best practices, and workplace accommodation.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and claims management systems.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
