  • Oversees ITAM and govern IT asset and configuration management focused on cost, risk, and compliance.
  • Develops, refines, and maintains an asset database to minimize duplication and ensure accurate data by collaborating on naming conventions and data capture.
  • Manages asset and configuration lifecycle, including planning, acquisition, deployment, tracking, security, and disposal, maintaining records in the IT Service Management system (ITMS).
  • Conducts IT asset audits and reconciliation, producing reports to highlight gaps or risks.
  • Oversees daily configuration management activities, setting priorities and assigning work for others within IT.
  • Ensures project updates to the IT Service Management system.
  • Reviews and approve changes, aligning ITAM controls with ITSM best practices and identifying standardization opportunities.
  • Acts as an escalation point and subject matter expert, providing guidance and coaching to the TRU community on ITAM procurement standards.
  • Manages software usage policy and entitlement to ensure compliance with licensing terms.
  • Defines best practices for software procurement, deployment, and process management to mitigate risk and align with ITAM.
  • Drives continuous improvement, research ITAM advancements, and promote compliance awareness.
  • Develops and maintains a modern ITAM vision aligned with TRU IT objectives, ensuring necessary controls before asset commissioning.
  • Implements automation for asset data collection and standardization.
  • Sets and enforce ITAM standards, ensuring compliance in asset management and holding teams and suppliers accountable.
  • Establishes high performance and professional standards, leading and mentoring employees, Co-op/Work study students.
  • Responsible for all aspects of IT procurement, leasing program, hardware acquisition, software, billing, asset tagging.
  • Responsible for IT Contracts and works with procurement on RFP and RFI processes.
  • Obtains quotes and creates Web Requisitions to process IT Contracts.
  • Understands and works within IT budgets and approval structure.

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology (IT), or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years related experience.
  • ITAM (IT Asset Management)
  • ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)
  • Project Management Certificate
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills
